The scrapyard
Sell cars for scrap at the Breaking Bad Scrapyard, your own for most of what you paid or a street car the yard wants this week.
Opens: From the start
How to sell
- Drive into the Breaking Bad Scrapyard. The mechanic tells you whether he wants the car.
- If he does, press E and choose Sell your vehicle.
- Check the price and choose Confirm.
What he buys
- Your own car: always. It’s gone for good, boot and all.
- Cars parked around the city: about half of them, and which half changes every game week (about 5 and a half real hours). A car he doesn’t want this week can’t be sold. One he buys is crushed where it stands, then turns up at its parking spot again.
- Never a job’s car, a team’s car, a tow call’s car or a spawned one (“Somebody’s waiting on that ride”), and no street car while you’re on a job.
Pay
| Car | Price | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Your own | 95% of what you paid, less its mileage | 15 |
| A street car he wants | $200, plus up to $400 for the body’s condition | 15 |
| A big vehicle he wants | $200 more | 15 |
The XP goes to whichever team you’re on when you sell.
Tips
- An undamaged body is worth most of a street car’s price.
- If the car isn’t wanted this week, try another.
- Empty the boot before you sell your own car: everything in it goes with it.
- At tow rank 5 the yard texts you offers for cars on your hook; those go to the crusher at Rogers, not here.
- From total level 5 you can lease a slot in this yard as a business.
